Fall is here ..

and that means FOOTBALL! We went to Sam Houston State University to see a friend cheer at the game .. also got to show the girls where I went to school. The weather was beautiful! Loving the cool weather and look forward to some more! Hunter had fun not only with the cheerleaders but the mascot, Sammy too!

Hunter's 7th Birthday Celebration!

As much as I can't believe it - this one is certain - my baby girl is turning 7 on Tuesday! We had her birthday party yesterday and were blessed with our family and friends coming out to help celebrate! Hard to believe that she is not a baby anymore .. just shy of her party, she also lost her first tooth - such momumental happenings this year! 1st tooth, transition from Kindergarten to 1st grade .. almost too much for a mom to handle. I always heard, once you have kids your life goes by fast, I am really starting to believe that now!

Back to the Blogging World

It sure has been awhile .. and so much has happened. Maybe this will be a way to catch everyone up on our family and a way to share some of the exciting things that have happened to me. First off, I had to update the profile picture, I am pleased to say that since November 1st, I have lost 40 lbs on my own. Hard to believe, I know .. but I finally got to where I needed to it. So now, since Thursday, I have started an Ideal Protein diet here at Zen Salon and Laser Spa in Spring, TX. I am hoping I will be able to take off the last 10 from here. Just a short update for now, but I promise to keep you up to date with all the news going on now.

It's been awhile ..

It sure has been awhile since I've posted on this blog and my HoustonWAHMs blog; guess I need to get better and just remind myself to come on here every so often .. I hope that you will check back and see what is going on. Haylee is now 10 and in the 5th grade - so hard to believe. Hunter will be 5 next Sunday, and is in Pre-K - such a smart little girl. She has started cheerleading at Texas Spirit and seems to really be enjoying it. We just have to get the cartwheel down! :) I am still involved with my HoustonWAHMs organization, and also sell Thirty-One and Scentsy products. I would love to share the products with you. Let me know if I can help with any gift giving ideas for the upcoming holidays! I promise to keep you updated on life .. stay tuned!

Catching Up ..

I know that it has been awhile and I plan to start a NEW New Years Resolution .. to keep updated with my blog. We have just celebrated Thanksgiving and had a house full of family ..

My mom cooked but enjoyed having everyone in one place; even for just a little bit.

Haylee ran in the Run Through The Woods for the 2nd year in a row .. She beat her time from last year and seemed to have a good time doing it! I posted a few pictures from the event ..

Today is Sunday and I hope to get our tree up .. well actually; it's up .. we just need to decorate it! So much to do and so little time .. so it seems!

Been awhile ..

WOW - It sure has been awhile .. so much has gone on that I do not think I could ever catch up! Brent and I celebrated our 15th year wedding anniversary yesterday -hard to believe .. He left this morning to go fishing for the weekend - what a great anniversary present huh?

Last night when I put Hunter to bed; she seemed warm .. through the night she was coughing and woke up this morning with a fever .. luckily I was off today and we spent the day not doing much of anything .. sometimes you need those days. It's quiet tonight and I am going to give her some more medicine here shortly and pray that this goes away.

I hope to get back to posting on a regular basis .. Haylee is in the tail end of her 3rd grade year - with only 10 weeks to go and a birthday coming up. Hard to believe she will be 9 in May .. sometimes I don't feel old enough to have a 9 year old.

We had friends come and stay with us during Spring Break .. they had their 2 girls too .. It was so much fun seeing all four of the girls together .. Haylee and Kaylee (who is 9, fixing to be 10) had a good time and I know that Haylee hated to see her leave .. the tears came after they got around the corner .. They live in Tennessee and hope to make sure we see them again soon!

I took a week of vacation and got to spend some time with the girls .. and it was nice to be off and just not have to do anything!

Happy 15th Anniversary!

15 years ..

Where does time go? Graduate from high school, get a job, meet a guy and then get married .. then .. in a blink of an eye; years have come and gone. Two beautiful girls .. Brent and I have made it through 15 years together.

Sometimes I wonder how we’ve made it this far .. and then sometimes it doesn’t seem quite that long .. I feel lucky to have a home, a husband that takes care of us, and two beautiful children that mean the world to me!

Time has come and gone ..

It has been some time since I have posted and so much has happened .. Most recently though - Haylee has turned 8 years old ..

How time flies! It seems so hard to have an 8 year old and a 3rd grader all at the same time! But I am so proud of her - she got an awesome report card and was promoted to the 3rd grade! I made her, of course, wait until the "official time" of birth .. but she is excited just the same! We went for lunch at Outback Steakhouse with her neice, Waverly and she is now busy playing with all her new toys!
